About Us
We run a very busy studio at Touchmark, with lots of classes and workshops for people who want to learn how to make jewellery. We also have a community of very talented jewellers who come to open studio every week. Some started out learning their craft with us and others joined to broaden their skills. Our ethos at Touchmark Studios, has always been to nurture, support and promote our talented people so as well as offering bespoke courses it also made perfect sense to open our studios twice a week where jewellers can rent a bench and be part of a professional set up. Here you can mix with like minded people and be involved in a very social creative space. So, if you fancy developing your jewellery making to the next level in a fun and supportive environment come along to our studio sessions we would love to see you!
Chris Pate is the owner of Touchmark Studios and has been teaching and making jewellery for many years. She studied at Bristol School of Art from 2000 to 2004 where she achieved her Metalwork Diploma. In her final year, she discovered Metal Clay which formed part of her research into combining this modern medium with conventional metals. She has achieved the Masters Registry I, an independent creditation which recognises excellent work in metal clay and holds the MCSJ Higher Metal Clay Diploma.
You can contact us on our Studio number 01275 331041 but the Studio is a noisy place and sometimes our phone cannot be heard or we can’t hear you! It’s preferable therefore to email us – mail@touchmark.co.uk and someone will get back to you as soon as we can.
